Scooter Ride Fun

Yesterday, me and Poppy went for a scooter ride.   My mom won that scooter at a shopping store drawing when she was in 6th grade.   That was 25 years ago!     WHOA!!!!    Good Grief!   :)    When she was in junior high, she got to ride that scooter all over the place!   She rode back roads and even on main roads, but it was okay then to do things like that because rules were different than they are now.

I like the scooter because if you are very hot you can feel the air on your face. When we were riding we ran into two dogs. The first one was fat and slow and the second one was fast and barky. I told Poppy to "Go, go, go!" and he said, "Hold on" and he cranked it up and we went riding. When we got back at Winky's house mommy asked "What took you so long?".    I told her about how we went around the circle but first we went down this road looking for goats but we couldn't find them so it took us longer.

I can't wait until sometime soon when we can go back again for a little more scooter riding fun!

UIL Day

Yesterday my school went to UIL.  I competed in two events - Storytelling and Spelling.   Try to guess what place I got in Storytelling.    I got 2nd place!!!  I was very very happy!

This month was the 3rd grade month for the Student of the Month award, and the 3rd grade teachers picked me.   I thought that was very nice of them!    So tonight we went to the school board meeting so that my principal could recognize me.   The high school principal gave the Student of the Month award to the high school football players because they are doing so awesome this year!   That was kinda cool.

Fall Ball

Well...looks like my fall ball season is over.   We won every single game of the season.     We beat all of the other teams, and when we added up the scores from all of the games, my team had a total of 107 runs.   All of the other teams that we played against scored 8 runs total for the season.

Happy Fall Ya'll!

On Friday night, we had a fall festival at my school.   You could win all kinds of prizes - like cokes, candy, and cakes.  We got to wear our costumes on Friday if we wanted to.  I decided that I wanted to be a Texas Rangers baseball player, so I was Adrian Beltre.    My best buddy Thomas went back to 2010 and he was Cliff Lee. 

Tonight, we went to Winky's house for our Halloween tradition since we don't go trick-or-treating.     We had chili dogs and popcorn balls.   It was DELICIOUS!      Me and my brother played on the trampoline.    The grownups left to go to the neighbor's house for a few minutes, and when we saw them coming back, we hid on the trampoline so they wouldn't see us playing.   It was a fun night!

How About Those Rangers?!?

Tonight is Game 5 of the World Series.  We are hoping that we win tonight so then we can have a chance to win Game 6, which will be the fourth game that the Rangers win.   That way we can be World Series champions.    How cool would that be?!?  

What do you think about the homeruns tonight with Mitch Moreland and Adrian Beltre?  The score is now 2-2 in the top of the 7th inning - with 2 outs and the bases are loaded.     Thank you, Josh Hamilton!   Now we are up to bat and we better get some hooooooooommmmmmeeeeeruuuuuuuuunnnnnnssss!

The Rangers Pumpkin

Tonight we carved a pumpkin while we were watching the Texas Rangers.   We were planning to make a jack-o-lantern, but then we had a better idea!

First we cut the top off and cleaned out the seeds and the gooey stuff...

A Break for the Grandparents

This morning, Winky and Poppy went to get on a plane to fly to California.    Here are some photos of the map of where their airplane flew and when it landed.    Look how high it was in the air and how fast it was going!!!

I can't believe that they wanted to do this.  I wish they would have taken me with them!   Some of the places they are going are to tour San Francisco and ride the ferry to Alcatraz, see the Golden Gate Bridge, Yosemite National Park, Muir Woods, Monterey Peninsula (not Mexico!), Carmel, and to see some of maybe Napa Valley and the Redwood Forest.   I don't know what else!    It sounds like a lot of stuff!   

They will be gone for 10 days.    That will be forever!!!   Have fun, Winky and Poppy!

Oh....and here's a new picture.    I think this is by their hotel on San Francisco Bay, with the Golden Gate Bridge behind her.    That's awesome!

My Date With Daddy

Tonight me and my daddy went on a date!   He let me pick where I wanted to eat, and I chose Pizza Hut!  We ordered a large hamburger pizza.  It was very good!

After we finished eating, we went to Brookshires to get a few groceries and then we went to the park.  We used some bread and some butter cookies that we just bought to feed the ducks.   Then I played a little bit on the playground.

Fair Time!

On Wednesday night, me and my friend Thomas went to the fair.  We got our arm bands and we were excited to get riding!

and the tilt a whirl...

Then....we got sick!

So we decided to try some different kinds of rides.  We rode the dragon ride and slid down the slide a few times.

We rode the ferris wheel one more time and then decided to be done.

I got to go back on Saturday night with Hannah and her family.   We had fun again.   We rode the ferris wheel, the sizzler, the dragon roller coaster, the merry go round, the elephants, and the slides.

I can't wait until the fair comes back next year!
