Spring Break - Comes & Goes!

On Monday of Spring Break, we took off for a little fun.  We went to Shenaniganz, which was a blast!   While we were there, we bowled....

played the arcade...

ate snacks...

played laser tag, and then played the arcade again...

We went to our favorite snack place lately.   It is called the Yogurt Story.

After snack time, we checked into a hotel for the night and went swimming.

The boys did some hard work in the fitness room.

The next day we went to the theater to see a movie.    Me and Mom went to see "The Lorax".   It was really good.   The boys went to see "John Carter", and Bubba said he loved it!

After the movies, we ate dinner at the Cotton Patch Cafe and then we went to Bubba's basketball clinic.    When he finished there, we went back to the Yogurt Story and who did we find there?     Winky and Poppy!!!   They came to join us because they're kinda hooked on this place too!

In case you don't know about Yogurt Story, it is very awesome!    It is a place that has frozen yogurt of all kinds.   You pick whatever kind of ice cream you want and then put whatever you want on top of it.   Then you put it on the scale to pay for it.    Here are examples of what you can get.

Daddy likes orange ice cream with lots of fruit on top....

I like chocolate ice cream with blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, sour patch kids, and whipped cream on top...

Bubba likes cheesecake ice cream with cheesecake bites and graham cracker crumbs on top...

Momma likes white chocolate mousse ice cream with oreo cookies and caramel on top...

That one looks JUST NASTY to me!      But these are some ideas of things you can get.  And there are LOTS more!

After our yogurt snack, we went back to the hotel to hang out again.

We stayed up late playing Phase 10.    We didn't get to finish because we were too sleepy, but Bubba was taking the lead before we quit.

Then we tucked in for the night!

The next day we went swimming one last time, and then it was time to go home.

The rest of Spring Break was fun too, even though we were at home.   My friend Beth got to come and spend the night and play for a couple of days.     We always have a blast!

On the weekend, we created a project for my school that was due on Monday.    We had to make a Solar System and we had to use something unusual to make it.    We chose to make cake balls.    We made a cake, then crumbled it up, mixed the icing up with it, and made balls out of it.    The next day we dipped our pops in melted candies after we got just the right color for each planet.   It was a lot of hard work, and it was messy, but we did it!

Well...Goodbye Spring Break!      Easter break....here we come...

Fort Worth Awesome Stock Show

One weekend in February (I don't remember exactly) we went to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.  We stayed in a hotel called Courtyard and it was very AWESOME!    We went to the rodeo first because it was on Friday night.   In the rodeo there was a funny clown named Troy.  Troy was small and a wild child!   In the last event before bull riding, Troy rode a dirtbike.   He had to jump over a truck with a trailer hooked onto it, and a man was laying on top of the trailer.  The second time he went by the trailer, I thought he was going to crash into the side of it.    BUT....he didn't!     Finally, it was time for my favorite event - bull riding!   There was one bull named Super Dude, and he did not like his rider.  He bumped him off in a flash!    On one of the bulls, another clown named Andy had to run into the alley to get the bull out of there.   When he was coming back, he came back with a fake horn hooked into him.   It looked SO real and scared.me.to.death because Troy was saying things like, "Andy, you okay in there?   Andy?   Andy?"       At the very end, they let out a little bull and he went running everywhere.  Troy was in a barrel and the bull came and pushed the barrel over.     Clowns were scattering everywhere!

The next day, we went to the stock show.   It was boring for the kids, but good for the grandparents.  I petted a white rabbit and it was nice.

What is he thinking?    Do I look like a dog on a leash?!?
